Nature Journaling 2025
My most favorite class was New England Flora offered by Wellesley College Botanical Gardens, a 9 month class where participants documented nature in a chosen habitat from spring through late fall. This class is now available at Mass Horticultural Society's Elm Bank. Another favorite was Lara Gastinger's Perpetual Journal class and I still follow Lara on Instagram for inspiration. In 2025 my focus is on sharing some of that inspiration in upcoming events. First, a 3 hour class at 204 for teens in the Creative Collaboration program, Next, I have been invited to be Artist in Residence at Hyannis Country Gardens May 19-25th where journaling will be some of my activities, and the third is still in the works but scheduled as part of the Hydrangea Festival. More details to come as these evolve.
I encourage all ages to try nature journaling. Starter journals and tools are a wonderful gift. I'm starting to put together field basics for new habitat sketchers. If you are interested in a nature journaling experience please contact me to discuss local options on Cape Cod and surrounding areas.
Nature journaling brings peace, healing and quiet reflection to your day.
Now if I could only spell euonymus in ink the first time....
